imelda in the studio- april 11, 2006
imelda is finally working on her new cd, for real! she started recording in early march at three pear studios and is now in the mixing stages. the new cd titled "noise noise noise" will be imelda's first in-studio project. she expects the cd to be completed by late june. in the mean time please check out the new pics, taken from the recording sessions in the gallery section.

the taped performance has been sent to the late show with david letterman. It was sent out the the monday following the show. our fingers are crossed and we hope that your's are too. the two songs we included for the demo were "champion" (piano) and "i killed my star" (guitar). let us hope that mr. letterman (and cheryl) will present imelda the opportunity to share her music with the rest of the world.

a huge thank you to all of you who came out to the fairmont hotel's, moulin rouge in support of imelda. imelda played to a sold out crowd thanks to all who attended. also, a big thank you to the crew (marion, anna, moby, papa weber, trish, zoe, max, and maggie in spirit) who helped made it happen.

on another note, if you have discovery hd, you can still catch reruns of our "no opportunity wasted" episode as it's still shown regularly (check local listings). and if you don't have discovery hd, go to your local sony style store and wait around for them to notice that you are on the tv you're standing next too. sony style has a contract to show discovery hd, so we are getting quite a bit of publicity!

imelda headlines her first show in chicago- november 28, 2005
some of you might know that there has been a "movement" to get imelda on the late show with david letterman. well, guess what? it worked! but hold on, folks. we're not totally there yet. last week we received a call from the show asking for a video of imelda's performance. all we ask is for you to help make it happen.

imelda will be headlining her own show. the gig will be taped and sent to the late show with david letterman. we need to have as many people as we can get to attend. so please bring your friends and friends of friends because this event is FREE (but a small contribution of $5 would be greatly appreciated to help cover expenses).

the location will be the fairmont hotel's, moulin rouge. a former supper club where many a famous person has played, including ray charles. we hope to one day add imelda's name to this prestigious list of performers.

the fairmont hotel is located at 200 north columbus (that's upper columbus for the main entrance) between wacker and randolph. the moulin rouge is in the lobby. no dinner will be served but drinks will be sold at the bar.

imelda de la cruz on The Discovery Channel!- march 19, 2004
sunday, march 21st imelda is going to be taped for a show that will air in the fall on the discovery channel. The new reality-based tv series is called "no opportunity wasted" and imelda has been chosen to make her dream come true. we have been given 72 hours (starting thursday at 8pm) and 3000 bucks to make this happen... the dream : to perform at a venue in front of a large audience that will hopefully include people from the record industry. we want everyone and everyone you know to come. we hope to have a venue by this friday night and we'll let you guys know all the details. please keep sunday night open 'cause thats when everything will come together. this special once in a lifetime event will take place in chicago, il on sunday evening. date and venue t.b.a. we will keep you posted.
